School Librarians are wonderful

The fantastically helpful Rebecca Hudson librarian at Cottenham Village College who organised my visit to the College, talking to students.

Her library is a hotbed of activity and so many books to read. She is such a wonderful advocate of the school.

And writing up a press release as well:

Writer Lunchtime Talk in the Library 20/04/16

Having a writer in school always creates a buzz about books so when Alex Mellanby, an ex-doctor and local published writer of ‘The Tregarthur Series’ came to give a library lunchtime talk to 22 of our students on the importance of reading and writing well, he had us all captivated with descriptions of teen survival on Dartmoor. He read passages from his books, helped us to conjure up characters for a bestseller and then spent more time with Miss Young’s Year 9 group who are writing a newspaper article on the workshop.Watch out for the film or come to the library to read the books.
